• Fellowship stipends: available at the beginning of each semester to registered students with valid Cornell I.D. at the Bursar's Office Cashier's Desk, 260 Day Hall.
• Assistantship stipends: available bimonthly (usually the 15th and 30th) from the hiring department's office.
• Loan refunds: available from the Bursar's Office Cashier's Desk, 260 Day Hall.

Enrolling for Direct Deposit
To enroll for the direct deposit of fellowship checks, students need to complete and return the bursar form, available online and from both the Bursar's Office (260 Day Hall) and the Graduate Loans office (190 Caldwell Hall). Students may sign up for direct deposit of fellowship stipends at any time, but for Fall stipends to be direct deposited, the completed form must be returned to the Bursar's Office no later than Aug. 1. To enroll for the direct deposit of assistantship checks, students need to complete and return the payroll form, available online. Note: since fellowship and assistantship stipends are handled by separate computer systems, enrollment in direct deposit for one type of stipend will not apply for the other type.

Registration Issues
To ensure direct deposit of checks, students should make sure that there are no holds on their registration status. This must be done at least one week before the first day of registration for the semester. Students can check for any registration holds online on "Just the Facts" in Bear Access. If there are any registration holds, the computer will only generate a paper check, available from 143 Caldwell Hall, once the student's registration has been completed.
